What data do we collect and for what purpose?

The scope and purpose of data collection depends on how you use the Administrator’s services:

1. Members of the HeyEdu Founders community

If you are a member of the community and use the services provided by the Administrator in accordance with the HeyEdu Founders Community Regulations, we process your data in order to:

  • perform the contract (including consideration of possible complaints) – the legal basis for processing is the necessity of processing for the performance of the contract;
  • issue an invoice (if you request so) – the legal basis for processing is execution of legal requirements;
  • in order to possibly establish, investigate or defend against claims – the legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest consisting in the protection of our rights.

2. Users of HeyEdu Assistant

If you use our service of the HeyEdu Assistant, we process your data in order to:

  • perform the contract (including consideration of possible complaints) – the legal basis for processing is the necessity of processing for the performance of the contract;
  • issue an invoice (if you request so) – the legal basis for processing is execution of legal requirements;
  • in order to possibly establish, investigate or defend against claims – the legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest consisting in the protection of our rights.

Users of HeyEdu Assistant also include Users participating in the Free Challenge with HeyEdu, HeyEdu NFT holders (HeyEdu Founders, HeyEdu Genesis, HeyEdu Genesis GOLD) and users who register to assess whether Heyedu is suitable for them by completing a form on the heyedu.com website and its subpages.

3. User data of social media profiles

Our:

profiles are public.

When you visit our profile, you provide us with your personal information (e.g., account name, comments, likes, online IDs, and the IP address of the device you are using).

This data is processed in order to: (i) enable us to effectively run our profile on a given website or application in connection with our promotion of various types of events, services and products, and and (ii) communicate with you and (iii) assert and defend against claims. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is our legitimate interest, consisting in promoting our brand, improving the quality of services provided by us as well as ongoing communication with fanpage users.

NOTE: the above information does not apply to the processing of your personal data by the administrator of Twitter, i.e. Twitter, Inc.

4. How long do we process personal data?

The period of data processing depends on the legal basis and the purpose of the processing. As a rule, the data is processed:

  • for the time necessary for the performance of the contract;
  • until an objection is lodged.

The period of data processing may be extended if the processing is necessary to establish, investigate or defend against possible claims, and after this period, only if and to the extent required by law.

5. What rights do you have in relation to the processing of your personal data?

We guarantee the implementation of all rights of persons whose data we process, including the right to:

  • access to data, including obtaining a copy;  
  • rectification of data;
  • deletion of data;
  • restriction of processing;
  • data portability;
  • to lodge an objection;
  • lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

6. Who is personal data shared with?

Personal data on the basis of appropriate agreements are transferred to entities processing data on behalf of the Administrator. Such entities process data only in accordance with our instructions, while maintaining their confidentiality and security. We have the right to control the way we process the data entrusted by us.

In other cases, personal data may be disclosed to authorized entities only on the basis of legal provisions.

7. Social Media

The website https://heyedu.com/ (Website) uses plugins and other social media tools provided by social networking sites such as Twitter, Linkedin and the Discord application.

In connection with the use of the Website, which contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with the servers of the administrators of social networking sites (service providers). The content of the plug-in is transmitted by the respective service provider directly to your browser and integrated into the website. Thanks to this integration, service providers receive information that your browser has displayed the Website, even if you do not have a profile with a given service provider or are not logged in to it. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to the server of the respective service provider (some servers are located in the USA) and stored there.

If you have logged in to one of the social networking sites, this service provider will be able to directly assign the visit to the Website to your profile on the given social network. If you use a given plug-in, e.g. the „Like” button”, this relevant information will also be sent directly to the server of the respective service provider and stored there. In addition, this information will be published on the respective social network and will appear to the people added as your contacts.

The purpose and scope of data collection and their further processing and use by service providers, as well as the possibility of contact and your rights in this respect and the possibility of making settings to ensure the protection of your privacy are described in the privacy policy of individual service providers.

If you do not want social networking sites to assign data collected during your visit to the Website directly to your profile on a given website, it is necessary to log out of this website before visiting the Website. It is also possible to completely prevent plug-ins from loading on the website by using appropriate extensions for your browser, e.g. blocking scripts.

8. Cookies Policy

The website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are placed on your devices (e.g. computers) via web browsers. These files allow you to store certain information on the device and then read it by the service that created these files. Cookies usually contain, in addition to the domain name of the website from which they originate, also the time of their storage on the end device and a unique number.

 Cookies are used by us in order to:

  • adjusting the content of websites to the individual preferences of the User and optimizing the use of websites by him (cookies allow, in particular, to recognize your device and properly display the website, so that it is best suited to individual needs);
  • maintaining sessions on the website after logging in;

The service does not store any information about the hardware configuration of the computer or programs installed on the computer.

You can find information on how to do this in the help files of your web browser. If you block cookies from the Website, the Administrator cannot guarantee its correct operation. If you do not change the settings for cookies, these files will be placed on the end device. This means that the Administrator will store information in the end device and access this information.

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The policy is constantly reviewed and updated if necessary. The current version of the policy has been adopted and has been in force since 6 June 2022.
